The height limits come from the WVC 2027 show rules. Ceiling heights are building measurements, not build limits. Confirm the rules in the WVC exhibitor manual before you design.

Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas hosts WVC 2027 from February 28 to March 3, with exhibits on Level 1 in Bayside A to D. The 2027 show rules let a WVC trade show booth reach 10 feet as an inline and 24 feet as an island.
Height limits, signs, and layout
Inline space comes with an 8-foot back wall and 3-foot side returns. Floor covering is mandatory, and a booth without it gets carpet at the exhibitor’s expense. Booth cleaning is handled only by the convention center’s appointed vendor. A custom back wall can rise to the 10-foot limit, 2 feet above the standard one. Hanging signs aren’t allowed above inline booths.
The 24-foot island limit includes any logo-bearing crown, lit or unlit. Bayside A to D have 30-foot ceilings, 6 feet above the island limit.
Encore Event Technologies handles rigging at Mandalay Bay. Under Mandalay Bay’s rules, Fern, the general service contractor (GSC), may hang only non-electrical signs under 200 pounds (the venue’s planning guide says 200 pounds or less; its August 2025 vendor policy says under 200 pounds, in concrete areas only). Signs of 200 pounds or more go to Encore; confirm who rigs a lit sign with WVC and the venue.
Line-of-sight rules require anything 4 feet or taller to sit 5 feet back from the booth front.
Most WVC attendees work in small-animal practice, from veterinarians to technicians and practice managers, so plan floor space for product displays, a demonstration station, and a seated area for client meetings. If a demonstration uses a live animal, the 2027 rules require the Animal Use Task in the exhibitor portal and a separate $1 million certificate of insurance, and animals cannot stay in the convention center overnight.
Freight and move-in dates
Under the 2027 exhibitor schedule, February 22, 2027 is the last day for advance shipments to reach the warehouse without surcharges. Check Fern’s exhibitor service kit for the first warehouse receiving date and for direct shipments to Mandalay Bay.
Islands and large booths move in before general move-in, at start times assigned in Fern’s exhibitor service kit. General move-in is February 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and booths must be show-ready by 8:00 p.m. that day. Dismantle starts at 2:00 p.m. on March 3, and starting dismantle earlier bars you from the following year’s conference.
You can bring an exhibitor-appointed contractor (EAC). EAC information is due February 11, 2027, and Mandalay Bay requires contractors to be on its approved vendor list 14 days before move-in.
